Healing Through Sacred Sound & Songs
Instructor: Dr. Lauri Shainsky, Associate Teacher and Healer, Singer LightSong School of Shamanic Studies

March 31, April 7, 14, 28, May 5, 12, 19, 26, June 9, 16.
2nd Offering: Sept. 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 Nov. 3, 10, 17 Dec. 1, 8.

This course is designed to help people:
~(re) discover and utilize their sacred voice;
~be a more potent vessel for sound, song, power, and spirit;
~bring power into ceremonies through sound and song;
~work with sacred sound and songs for the purpose of healing self & others;
~discern& utilize the distinct vibrational qualities of rattles, drums, bowls, and the spirits within them;
~be nourished through receiving and transmitting healing sound and songs.
Journeying skills are required. This course is part of LightSong School of Shamanic Studies curriculum and is meant for students to take any time after they have completed the Basic Journeying class. *Students who have taken this course before can repeat this course at a discount; new material will be included each week.
Some of the things we will explore together:
Watching how energy changes as sounds and songs bring forth their power;
Noticing how we witness, participate in, and surrender to song and sound as it moves through us;
Feeling how spirits move in and out of us and the ceremonial space;
Singing community songs and personal songs for ceremony and healing;
Observing how the spirits in our drums, rattles, bowls and bells work with us and the people we seek to heal.
Course format: Wednesdays; 10 three-hour sessions. (Note specific Wednesdays)
Cost: $395 if paid for all at once before the course begins or *if you are a returning student;
$425 if paid in full the first day of class; or $50 per session (enrollment is a commitment to pay for all sessions)
